Guitarist Toddzilla Austin’s guitar skills, dance moves, and screamin’ smokestack pompadour create a show in unto itself. The keyboard magic of Josh Rosen is perfectly matched to the rock solid bass playing and vocals of Adrian Gireaux and his spinning bass! Derrick McCullough’s precision drumming, harmonies, and lead vocals provides the driving dance force and grooves that make Kung Pow! as much fun to hear as well as see!

You guys rocked! I can’t tell you how many people commented on how they loved the band! Seriously, I heard only good things about you. I wanted to thank you – and please pass the word onto the rest of the band and especially your lead singer. I enjoyed chatting with you all. I hope you enjoyed yourselves. I am pretty sure I will be your point of contact for next year. The board has already said that they want you back. Thank you so much for your professionalism too. You all handled yourselves with such poise, and you were totally flexible. We raised over 21 thousand dollars! The best ever!

My name is Chris Weyer and I am the mother of the bride and I just wanted to let you know how awesome Kung Pow was! We had so much fun that we didn’t want it to end. I know one of the guests offered them more money if they would keep playing but the venue wouldn’t let us stay. I just can’t tell you enough how really great they were. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a rock and roll band. They gave Aimee and Tommy signed drum sticks and they just loved them. Please tell the band again that we had a blast!!

Kung Pow was AWESOME! We had so much fun with the, our guests loved it! First of all, they were so nice and so flexible with what we wanted, so great to work with especially since we were out of town. Secondly, they rocked the house on Saturday! My mom was really impressed-we all gave them big hugs! We even got autographed drumsticks! By far the coolest souvenir! I have some great pics that I should email you, I’m definitely sending them some. I hope that I’ll be able to catch them at another show sometime! Thanks for all of your help booking them! I’m glad that you had recommended them. Well, just on a plane to Hawaii! Take care! Aloha!

My name’s Chandler and I work for Zap Photography in Tuscaloosa, Birmingham, and Starkville. I was the photographer for DZ last Saturday night. I want to thank you for helping me out during your band breaks. I feel really lucky to be able to work with you guys when you come to Tuscaloosa because not only are you the most entertaining band that I’ve seen at the parties around here, but you’re also really great at helping compose group pictures. Your energy is really contagious! I look forward to shooting with you again in the future.

I got your voice message the other day. I just wanted to say thank you. Kung Pow! was great! Everyone had a wonderful time and they are still talking about how great and how much fun the band was! If you find yourselves playing in or around Baton Rouge, please let me know so I can put up a flyer in the sorority house. I know there would be a lot of Zetas there to support you! It was a pleasure working with you! Thank you!

I just want to thank you for your band’s awesome, and I MEAN AWESOME, performance this past weekend, April 5. They rocked the house, and we had a great turn-out for our party. Everyone and their sister told me that it was one of the best Farmhouse parties, and one of the best cover bands, they could remember for a long time. Your band did an outstanding job, and people to this day are still telling me how much fun they had! Hope we can have them back, and you are welcome to use me as a reference for them in case you need it. Thanks once again.

I just wanted to write and thank you for your help booking the Kung Pow show last weekend. They were one of the easiest bands to work with I’ve ever experienced and their show went great. The entire band played very well and impressed everyone who came to the house that night. I have heard nothing but praises about their outstanding performance from everyone who attended. Can’t wait to get them back to campus.

My name is Kristin Fitzpatrick and I am the person in charge of booking Kung Pow for our 10 year high school reunion in Birmingham this past weekend. They were awesome!! They were so much fun to work with and were so entertaining! They played a perfect mix of songs for us and we had so much fun dancing!!!!! Everyone loved them! There were a lot of people too busy visiting to dance, but there was a group of us that had a blast dancing!! I think we were entertaining everyone else! They were so much fun to have—I would recommend them to anyone looking for a fun band with a mix of 80′s and other current music! Thank you for providing such a good time for us! Please pass along my thanks to the band—I hope I have the chance to hear them again!

Wow! KungPow is awesome! Their upbeat music, magnetic personalities, and captivating stage presence makes them one of the best party bands I have ever had. The only problem we had was finding enough room on the dance floor! The band members were incredibly nice and easy to work with – thanks Kung Pow for showing us how to have a good time!

Kung Pow was awesome this weekend! Everyone had a really good time, and they did a great job or keeping the crowd excited etc. Furthermore, Richard Lazarus is, by far, one of the nicest people I have EVER met or done business with. He is a true gentleman and reason enough to do future business with the band. Thanks for working with us. You guys were awesome!

It’s a rare manager that truly gives support to us middle agents. That goes a long way with me. You know that I like to spend my time in the field as opposed to being behind the desk. If that means something to the bands, I’m glad I’m on the right track. The party WAS rockin’, the act was together; and your lead singer certainly meets her billing. I look forward to working with Kung Pow! in the future.

I just wanted to get back to you regarding the wedding receptions on July 9th. I thought you guys were awesome! You have a very talented group, and you guys perform very, very well. Everyone loved your music, and I really do mean everyone. We had a great time. And I hope that you guys had a good time as well. I highly recommend your group to anyone. Thanks so much for being a part of our wedding reception, and helping to make it an event to remember for a lifetime.

I just wanted to thank you and the members of Kung Pow! for coming to play at our Every Class Bash Alumni Reunion party at Notre Dame High School this weekend. The band was great! I loved the energy all of the members of the band had. By the end of the night no one wanted you guys to stop playing. Everyone wanted the partying to continue on! You guys did a wonderful job at our event! I wish you much success and look forward to working with you again in the future.

I am writing this concerning the amazing performance of Kung Pow on March 30, 2007. Kung Pow put on an excellent show and did a great job of getting the entire crowd involved. They sang songs that everyone knew and could dance too. Before they ever performed, Kung Pow was so accommodating to making arrangements for setup and working with the venue. Everyone who attended the party had endless compliments about their show. Overall, they were a joy to have and were really great to work with. I would recommend them to anyone who wants to listen to some great eighty’s music.

“Kung Pow did a magnificent job at our teen conference. We had more students stay for the duration of the dance than we have ever had. It was great for adults who lived through the eighties and kids who weren’t born yet! Thanks to Riq and the others who put on a wonderful show!”

We recently put on a destination wedding for our son and bride to be. As with all destination weddings, the guests were from out of town. In an effort to thank our guests for making the 3 ½ hour trip, we had a band party after the rehearsal dinner. Since we are from Nashville, we used a band called Kung Pow. They were prompt in arriving at the location in plenty of time to set up their equipment prior to the rehearsal dinner and were ready to play as soon as the dinner was completed. Their music was enjoyable to all the guests and especially to the wedding couple and their friends. The evening went off without a hitch. At the conclusion of the party, as the band was loading up their equipment, we took the time to talk to Richard Lazarus and the members of Kung Pow. It was then that we thanked them for a beautiful evening and their contribution to a very memorable weekend for our family and friends. We would very much recommend Kung Pow for an event such as ours.

It was a pleasure working with you all at the wedding last weekend. As a wedding planner, you allowed me to do my job, and I was at ease knowing you were there to help. I appreciate the fact that we all came together and worked well as a team. You helped make that happen, and I will look forward to working with you again. Your band was fun, energetic and just “awesome” entertainment. You rocked the house.

My name is Lauren Vercelli, and I am my sorority’s Social Chair at Auburn University. I am in charge of getting all the formals together, one in the spring and the other in the fall. For our spring formal, I chose the group Kung Pow to play. I had heard that they were pretty good, so I decided to give them a shot because they were not just your typical Motown band which is what people usually book for formals. I was extremely pleased. They were not only good musical performers, but entertainers as well. They had fun playing for us and that atmosphere helped move our party along as well. They were also more than willing to play any song that we requested, of course as long as they knew and could play it. Their sole purpose, and we could tell, was to make us have a good time. And everyone did. Multiple girls in my sorority approached me to tell me what a wonderful time they had. They absolutely LOVED the band. One of the agents in Auburn that we book our bands through was also at the formal. He had never heard them play, so when I asked if they were good he was honest and said that he did not know. But I talked to him after the formal, and he too had nothing but good things to say about Kung Pow. As the one in charge of booking the band and talking with them about formalities, they were so easy to work with. I had no problem contacting them and asking them questions about set up, clean up, and just the night as a whole. Richard, their leader, was fun to meet and work with. He and his group were again more than willing to do whatever we wanted in order to give us a good performance. And that is definitely what they did! I just wanted to write this letter because I was very pleased with this band. We actually already have them on our line-up for another social event. If anyone is wondering which band to get when they are looking for a fun, entertaining band, then I would definitely recommend Kung Pow!!

Thank you all for coming to Sigma Phi Epsilon at the University of Tennessee this past weekend. There is no doubt in my mind that we will continue to have you guys return during the fall for football games as well as during the spring for any event possible. The entire show was impressive but I think something that set you guys apart from anyone else was the light show as well as the intensity that you brought to the entire house. The fire alarm was set off at midnight, prime time for the house to start the night. The cops forced everybody out and it looked like a tough night; I couldn’t have been more wrong. The night heated up quickly when the alarm was shut off by the fire department and it was well known across campus who was having the biggest party of the night. You guys bring something to the table that is different from anybody else and your laidback attitudes were well appreciated. You were scheduled to play from 12-3 but your encore lasted till about 4:30. Easily one of the soundest investments that I have made all year. Thanks again and I guarantee we will see you all soon.

Kung Pow is a great band with one of the best live shows out there. As a fraternity social chair it’s a pleasure to get such a high quality band that’s extremely easy to deal with for such a good price. They’ve been a staple of our fraternity for years and it’s pretty obviously why.

I am the Social Chair for the Fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta at Mississippi State University. We recently had Kung Pow play for us after the Mississippi State vs. Tennessee football game. I just want to explain how good of a band they were in their entirety. They had a diverse play list that everyone knew, they were extremely interactive with the crowd, and basically were just an amazing group of musicians. My Fraternity was very impressed with their performance. Each guitar player actually went into the crowd to play at least twice in the performance. This was a first at our house and quite possibly a first at the school. Everyone loved the band and I would highly recommend them to anyone. They are welcome back at the Phi Gamma Delta house whenever they please.

Kung Pow put on one of the best concerts that ZBT has had this year. The lead singer had a great voice, and was really good at getting the crowd to participate and get into the music. Both the guitarists were amazing, they walked around the crowd, and made everyone at the concert feel like they were part of the music. The drummer was also very talented, showing great passion for what he was playing. All together, this band is one of the most talented and most energetic bands that we have had at our fraternity, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking to throw a great party.

I wanted you guys to all know what a awesome time we had at our party. You guys not only sounded great but you also put on a hell of a show. I have had many people thank me for bringing Kung Pow out and too many people ask me about the hot lead singer. Our plans are to have another party and Kung Pow is the first band to be invited to play. Please keep us out here on Lake Oconee posted of any nearby shows…there are plenty people out this way who would like to see you again.

Thanks so much to you and the entire Kung Pow band for a truly memorable performance at our company party on Saturday night. We had a blast. I can’t count the number of people who have thanked me for booking Kung Pow. Your group really loosened up the crowd and showed us a great time. I can honestly say it was the best party we’ve ever had. Best wishes for your continued success. I hope to see you again soon.

I just wanted to say thank you again for putting on an awesome show last night. You all play the best 80′s cover music by far. We also wanted to say thank you for showing up early and getting ready to play for us so quickly. Most bands we have typically show up a little late, but y’all managed to show up early and start playing right away. I don’t know if anyone told you or not, but that part last night was really for our pledges who had just gotten initiated the night before. That was their first band party as a Pike brother and I’m sure they will never forget that night. We will definitely be spreading the word about Kung Pow, to the other fraternities here on campus. I don’t know how y’all managed to keep playing for that long last night. It seems you all never ran out of energy and the atmosphere was overwhelming. Everybody loved the music and the costumes you had on. I know y’all will put on an awesome show no matter where you play next. Just remember to always keep a few dates open for Pi Kappa Alpha, here in Knoxville cause we will defiantly have y’all back again.

“Kung Pow is easily one of the best band parties we have ever thrown. The entire band goes crazy on stage and they make sure everyone in the crowd is entertained. Every song they played was something the crowd knew and could sing along with. Between sets these guys are eager to meet who they are playing for and don’t hesitate to come off stage on their breaks to party with everyone else.”

For our Fall formal we decided that we wanted to have a different sound and get a band that would get everyone up and excited to get out on the dance floor. We decided to go with Kung Pow to play for the evening because this is exactly their style. They are such a great band and all of the members were very nice and amicable. They even got off stage and talked with us to try and get to know us. Their songs were awesome and got everyone dancing. I would recommend them to anyone and would definitely have them play for another function!

All night I had people coming up to me saying how great you all were. You played songs that everyone wanted to hear and dance to. Beyond being such a fun band, everyone was talking about how talented you were. You were also all so nice and so great to work with. You seemed like you were having as much fun as we were. Each year for our party, the band always makes it or breaks it. This year we definitely hired the perfect band. Thanks for making it such a great party. I just wish we could have another 80′s party next year so you could play again. Thanks so much!

I just wanted to tell you thank you so much for the great performance ya’ll gave us on Friday night. The band’s ability to perform with such energy and devotion is what makes you guys stand out. I am the Inter-Greek Relations Chairman for the Inter-fraternity council at the University of Virginia. This Fall I was in charge of the annual Greek Ball, which is attended by presidents of fraternities and sororities and board members of the four Greek councils (as well as their dates) at the University of Virginia. This year I was fortunate enough to have found out about Kung Pow! in time for the event. The band and their manager, Richard Lazarus, did a great job of making sure the event was a total success. From contact prior to the ball to the wrap-up after, everything was done in a most professional way. In between, they provided us with entertainment that made this year’s ball one of the best UV has ever had. I was most impressed with Kung Pow! and recommend the band for any event.

Our fraternity found the band Kung Pow! as managed by Richard Lazarus extremely easy to work with. Richard contacted me a week before the concert to address any questions that we may have had. Indeed, he was responsive to our concerns. The band’s equipment was moved in at the exact time that we had agreed upon. Also, the band itself began their concert at the right time and played through all their sets. Furthermore, I would like to emphasize how much we and our guests enjoyed the concert. I would go as far as to say the Kung Pow! is one of the most entertaining bands that I have seen on my campus during the past three years. Certainly, we all agree that they are one of the best bands of their type. I am planning on having them play for us again in the near future.

On behalf of the Theta Alpha chapter of Pi Kappa Phi at the University of Southern Mississippi, I would like to strongly recommend Kung Pow! to anyone looking for a great cover band. They are high energy and very entertaining group. Their lead singer does a great job keeping the crowd entertained. The rest of the band is also very professional in the way they play. Kung Pow! played for our homecoming party and everyone who attended said what a great time they had. Many people complimented the band saying they were one of the best cover bands they had ever heard. I know that our fraternity looks forward to the next time we get to work with Kung Pow!

Kung Pow recently played at my sorority’s Senior Sendoff. Everyone in the room was dancing and singing along all night. Kung Pow is a lively, upbeat, and creative mix of talented individuals – they worked the crowd and made us all laugh. I could not have asked for a better band to perform at our party – they truly made it a success.

The band was great last night. It was a great party. We have finals next week so we didn’t get quite as many people as I had hoped, but we still got a good crowd. The contest I talked to you about worked out great and your guitarist was perfect. If I have anything to say about it next year, we’ll be booking you guys next April. We appreciate everything you all did!

Kung Pow! is it! This group combines experience, showmanship, versatility, and variety, making them one of the Southeast’s most popular bands. Kung Pow! is non-stop fun featuring songs from the 70′s, 80′s, 90′s and Today!
